My first post is about the new era of rappers. I think they are destroying Hip Hop I feel no one is original and everyone is just in it for the fame and money. Hip Hop is going to be dead in a matter of years if this does not change.Why cant Hip Hop go back to the way it use to be when rapping was an art and it something rappers love to do. Now it's all politics and it's more like a job for these new age of rappers.
In order for any art form to thrive, it must be open to changes. This may be a transition period for rap. I remember when disco was king and rock and roll seemed to "die" in that the rock and roll folks were trying to use disco themes to sell rock and the rockers thought that was a sell out. In the 80's there was punk and techno, the 90's grunge. Now it's all pop - but true rock and roll has thrived in alternative scenes. That may be where the "true form" of hip hop will continue to live.
